Amy Nagel, DPT is a licensed physical therapist at Chicago Sports and Spine. After earning her bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology at the University of Illinois at Chicago she went on to earn her doctorate in physical therapy from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. She continued her education by completing certification in vestibular rehabilitation at Emory University School of Medicine. She is experienced treating a variety of diagnoses for patients with orthopedic, vestibular, neurologic, post-operative and sports rehabilitation needs in the outpatient setting.
Well versed in a broad range of therapy treatments, methods and modalities, Amy takes a diverse approach in rehabilitative care. She integrates the McKenzie Methodmechanical diagnosis and therapy into her spinal rehabilitation treatment and places an emphasis on manual therapy. She is an advocate for whole for patient care and incorporates this philosophy in evaluations, treatments and education.
With her own personal interests in running, fitness, nutrition and cooking, Amy practices her recommendations for health, injury prevention and rehab in her daily life on a regular basis.
