Dr. Arayan is a co-founder of Chicago Sports and Spine, Pain Management Physicians. He uses a multi-disciplinary approach to treat injury and pain to maximize a patient’s potential and quality of life. Dr. Arayan will direct your treatment and collaborate with other health care professionals to design a program for you.
Dr. Arayan attended the University of Illinois at Champaign and obtained his bachelor’s degree in biology. He then went on to Ross University School of Medicine for his medical degree. He completed his training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Schwab Rehabilitation Hospital/University of Chicago program. He subsequently went on to complete a sports medicine and electromyography (EMG) fellowship at the University of Illinois at Chicago in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery.
Dr. Arayan is Board Certified by the American Board of Medical Specialties in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. After completing his fellowship training at the University of Illinois, he has continued on at the university as an assistant professor in sports medicine rehabilitation. He is also Board Certified in Sports Medicine.
Dr. Arayan’s areas of interest include sports related injuries involving such areas as the spine, knees, shoulders, and hips. He also manages acute and chronic pain conditions from various sources. Along with the above he treats patients with nerve related pain, pain radiating into the arms or legs, work injuries, and post-surgical pain. He also performs specialized nerve and muscle testing through electromyography (EMG).
